Who are John Alfred's parents?

Perhaps more specifically, who is Robbie Reynolds^[6]? (I think I have the answer now...see below)

In John's online death records^[6] (images not available), Robbie is listed as his mother. The dates match other records, such as his headstone^[7]. Other records, the 1870^[8], 1880^[9] and 1900^[10] censuses, lists Sarah as his mother.

His father, Rev John R's marriage records^[11] show Sarah Ann Collins. The death records of John's sister, Martha Jane Robertson Trull, also lists Sarah A as their mother.

Maybe Rev John R remarried after Sarah's death (1901)? But I don't yet see Robbie on any other later records (John R died in 1912). John A was the youngest and was married in 1899 and living with parents in 1900.^[10]

Sarah is also a bit of a mystery. Most Ancestry family tree hints (6 out of 14) say her maiden name was Wright, citing an 1850 census. But her age is off by a few years, and the later census records as Robertson say her parents were born in Georgia. The Wright family came from North Carolina. Only 2 out of 14 hints say her name is Collins.

There is a second Find a Grave entry for John Alfred Robertson^[7][12]. The first one lists Docia as his spouse and mentioned the Alabama Death records with Robbie as his mother. The second one lists Robbie^[13] as his spouse (confusing this John with his father Rev John -- whose parents are William Pitt and Margaret Robertson), and different cemeteries. According to the headstone^[14], the Reverend is John R, husband of Sarah A and son of William, not John A, husband of Docia, son of John R.

The mystery continues as we walk up the tree a bit. The Rev John Richard Robertson's death records list William Pitt as his father, But on the 1860 census of WP's household, there's a 23 year old, named William -- not John Richard.

Mystery of Robbie Reynolds may have been solved. Robbie Zella was John's daughter, not his mother (1920 census). She married Chester Reynolds in 1929 (1930 census). So she must have been the "informant" on her father's death certificate, incorrectly recorded as his mother.
