Biography

David Robertson was born 20 August 1784 in South Carolina. His parents are James Robertson and Sarah Headen.

David Robertson and Sarah (Sallie) Thomas were married 28 January 1818 in Franklin County, Georgia. The marriage license reads: "Franklin County, To any Judge, Justice of the Peace or minister of the Gospel you are hereby authorized to join together in the Holy State of matrimony David Robertson and Miss Salley Thomas. Given under my hand this (can't tell) 23 or 28 January 1818. The ??? was solemnized 25 January 1818 by Frances Calloway ??? ^[1]

By 1824 David and Sarah had moved from Franklin County, Georgia to Tuscaloosa County, Alabama where they resided the rest of their lives. ^[2]

David Robertson died 4 February 1853 and is buried in the Robertson Cemetery, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. ^[3]
