Biography

Charles Robertson was born about 1795 in Blair Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland to parents James Robertson and Margaret Robertson (as named on his death cert)

Charles (30) married Elizabeth Petrie (23) (born before December 19, 1802 in Kirkmichael) on December 17, 1826 in Kirkmichael. ^[1] .^[2] Elizabeth and Charles had at least 8 known children: (note the middle names here are not actually middle names they are just a way to discern from same named children in different families)

In the 1851 Census of Scotland Charles Robertson (aged 56), Ag Labourer, was the head of household in Black Mill, Kirkmichael, Perthshire.^[18]

In the 1861 Census of Scotland Charles Robertson (aged 66), Agricultural Labourer, was the head of household in Blackmill, Kirkmichael, Perthshire.^[19]

Charles died on December 18, 1865 in Easter Tulloch, Kirkmichael, Perthshire, United Kingdom, aged about 69. Charles's death (age 70) was registered by his son Donald (Brown Street, Blairgowrie) in 1865 in the Kirkmichael (Perth) district.^[20]
