James Robertson was born in Scotland.

James Tipping was born 1901, Son of John Dow / Robertson and Sarah Tippen/ Tipping. ^[1]

1919 James Tipping Robertson was a witness to the marriage of his half sibling John Robertson who married Marion McIntyre Henderson. The marriage was held at the Barony Parish Church of Scotland in Saint Rollox, Glasgow.

1932 Another brother married Hugh Robertson he married Mary Bray, marriage held at 46 Whitehill Street Glasgow. James Tipping Robertson was one of the witnesses.

1958 James Tippping Robertson age 56 years, single, occupation Post Office Sorter, Usual residence 3 Martyr Street Glasgow, died. Place of death 133 Balornock Road, Glasgow - ( Stobhill Hospital ). Cause of death recorded as Congestive Cardiac Failure, Mitral and Nortic (?) Stenosis and Incompetence. Father John (Dow) Robertson (dec), occupation Gas Fitter, mother Sarah (m.s.) Tipping Robertson (dec). Informant Mary Ramsay, friend, residence 3 Martyr Street, Glasgow. ^[2]
