WOODFORD DALE.

On Thursday night last Mr. George Robertson died at his late residence, Woodford Leigh, aged 62 years. He had been in failing health for the past 12 months and his death was not unexpected. He was born in Drogheda, county Louth, Ireland, in 1845, but came to this State with his father and other members of the family when he was five years of age, living first at Newcastle and later on coming to the river and settling at Woodford Leigh in 1861, where he resided until his death.

He was very honest and industrious and was highly respected by the residents of this locality, in which he resided for the greater portion of his life.

He leaves a widow, 4 sons and 2 daughters, all married and settled in this district.

The remains were interred in the Presbyterian cemetery at Maclean on Friday afternoon.Rev. Scott Neil officiated and Mr. R. Boyle had charge of the funeral obsequies. Mrs. A. Blanch, of Woodford Leigh, is the only surviving sister of the deceased. We ex tend our sympathy to the bereaved family. ^[3]
