Biography
Aline Woodrow Roberts was born on 6 Nov 1912 in Virginia; she was the daughter of William M. Roberts and Nannie A. Zimmerman.[1]
In 1920,[1] Aline W. Roberts (age 7, born Virginia) was living in Basic City, South River District, Augusta County, Virginia in the household of her father, William M. Roberts (age 40, born Virginia), with her mother, Nannie A. Roberts (age 35, born Virginia), and with her Roberts siblings, born Virginia (age, sex): i) Gabrella L. (15, F), ii) Ellis W. (13, M), iii) John R. A. (12, M), iv) Casper L. L. (10, M), v) Carl H. (4, M), vi) Eugene E. (2, M). William's occupation was a laborer in the extract works.
In 1930,[2] Aileen [sic] Roberts (age 17, born Virginia) was living in Waynesboro, South River District, Augusta County, Virginia in the household of her father, Wm. M. Roberts (age 51, born Virginia), with her mother, Nettie [sic] Roberts (age 45, born Virginia), and with her Roberts siblings, born Virginia (age, sex): i) Cooper T. (20, M), ii) Carl (15, M), iii) Eugene (12, M), iv) Blaudine (10, F), v) Charline (6, F), vi) Dillon (4, M), vii) Pocahontas (1, F). Aileen's occupation was a Rethrower at a Rayon Factory. William's occupation was a Section Foreman at a Steam Railroad.
On 1 Jan 1932 in Augusta County, Virginia,[3] Aline Roberts (age 19) married Jerry Heiston (age 20). Jerry's parents were W. E. Heiston and M. B. Bennett. Aline's parents were William Roberts and Nannie Zimmerman.
In 1940,[4] Allene [sic] W. Heiston (age 27, born Virginia) was living in Stonewall District, Rockingham County, Virginia in the household of her husband, Jerry M. Heiston (age 28, born Virginia), with their Heiston children, born Virginia (age, sex): i) William C. (7, M), ii) Lawrence D. (5, M). Jerry's occupation was a mechanic at a rayon mill. In 1935,[4] they lived in rural Rockingham County, Virginia. Of note, on the same census enumeration sheet,[4] the next family listed was his mother, Mattie Belle Heiston.
In 1950,[5] Aline R. Heiston (age 37, born Virginia) was living in Stonewall District, Rockingham County, Virginia in the household of her husband, Gerry M. Heiston (age 38, born Virginia), with their Heiston children, born Virginia (age, sex): i) William C. (17, M), ii) Lawrence D. (16, M). Gerry's occupation was a mechanic at the rayon textile plant. Aline's occupation was doffing at the rayon textile plant.
Aline Woodrow (Roberts) Heiston (age 99) died on 14 Jun 2012,[6] and she was buried in the Elk Run Cemetery, Elkton, Rockingham County, Virginia, USA.[7]

Aline Woodrow Roberts Heiston, 99, of Elkton, passed away June 15, 2012, at Journeys Crossing in Elkton.
Aline was born Nov. 6, 1912, in Waynesboro, and was the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Nannie (Zimmerman) Roberts.
She graduated from Waynesboro High School and retired from DuPont in Waynesboro after 30 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Moyers Heiston; two sons, William C. "Buddy" Heiston and Lawrence D. "Pete" Heiston; daughter-in-law, Lorine Davis Heiston; and a granddaughter, Debra Jenkins. Aline was one of 13 children born to her parents, and she was the last surviving sibling.
Survivors include five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A private burial officiated by Pastor Dan Bassett was held Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.
Services handled by Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
