Biography
Michel Didace, the son of Jean Reid and Marie Anne Dessaint, was born and baptized 29 September 1748 in Châteaguay. The Saint Joachim parish register identifies him as "Michel-Didace né de ce jour, fils de Jean Ride & de Marieanne Descent ses pere & mere de cette paroisse en legitime mariage, son parain à êté Claude Ride & sa maraine Marie Joseph Duquet."[1] He passed away 4 months later. The 29 January 1749 entry in the parish register states that he was "Michel Didace Ride agé de quatre mois, fils de Jean Baptiste Ride & de Marieanne Dessens ses pere & mere en legitime mariage, en presence de Pierre LeBert & de Joachim Primot fils témoins."[2]
