Jack was born in New Plymouth,Taranaki,NZ the second of six siblings to parents Trevor and Dorothy ( Eileen ) Richardson. Educated in New Plymouth leaving secondary school in 1964. General farmhand in Tauranga until May of 1965 when joined the Public Service with the Department of Lands and Survey in New Plymouth. Transferred to Wellington Head Office in 1969 and continued working in various Government Departments both in Wellington and Tauranga, Bay of Plenty before being made redundant around the late 1990.s. Employed with private companies since then and up until reaching retirement age.

That is lucky for you with the Applegarth family . I was noticing how unusual the surname is.

With help from others i have managed to trace my Applegarth family surname line back to 1640 in the UK.Now up against a brick wall to go back further in time but need help to do so.I think I have a possible link taking me back to the early year 1000 including some royal connections.Willing to share information collected to date.Any help or assistance would be very much appreciated.
