Biography

John Richardson lived in the extreme northern part of what is now Franklin, 27 miles from Boston. He was an exceedingy active and capable man of business. He bought and sold a considerable amount of property.
He was by trade a house-wright or carpenter.

Birth and Family

John Richardson, eldest son of John Richardson and Esther Breck, was born on 22 Oct 1701, in Old Medfield, the name later being changed to Medway, Massachusetts, (https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Medfield).

Marriage

John married Jemima Gay on 05 May 1730. Jemima was the daughter of Edward Gay, of Wrentham, of that part of it which was incorporated as the town of
Franklin, on 02 Mar 1778.
