Biography

William Renton was born or baptised on 10 April 1766 in Innerwick, Haddingtonshire, Scotland, the son of James Renton and Jean Dickson.[1]

William married Marion Shiel on or after 15 November 1793 in Innerwick.[2] They had three known children:

  1. James, born or baptised on 12 April 1795 in Innerwick,[3]
  2. Andrew, born or baptised on 4 December 1796 in Innerwick,[4] and
  3. Robert, born or baptised on 27 July 1800 in Innerwick.[5]
