Thomas Rendle was born in Talland, Cornwall, England.

Thomas. the son of John Rendle and Mary Perry was born in 1791 and baptized on 6 November of that year in Talland, Cornwall.^[1]

Thomas married Mary Blight on 24 March 1816 in Antony, Cornwall, England.^[2]

Their first child, Mary Rendle was born on 29 March 1817 and baptized on 8 May 1817 in Devonport, Devon, England.^[3]

In the 1841 census Thomas (age 45) was in Clarence Place, Stoke Damerel, Devon, England.^[4] 1841

Thomas was listed as a Cabinet Maker in a directory in 1844 in Devon, England.^[5]

In the 1851 census Thomas (age 59), Shipwright in dock yard, was the married head of household at 13, Clarence Place, Stoke Demerel, Stoke Damerel, Devon, England.^[6] 1851
