Biography

Biagia was born about 1786 ^[1] to Baldassare Reina and Anna Bivona ^[2]. She married Giacchino DiGiovanna in 1802 ^[3] when she was about 16 years old; they had several children. She was widowed and in 1833 at age 47 she married the 62-year-old widower Maestro Nunzio Vattiatio ^[4], a soap maker.

Biagia was named for her paternal grandmother, Biagia Bennici.
