Biography
Ellen was born about 1812. She married Cornelius McKeegan in 1839, and they had at least two children: James (b. 1840), Ellen (b. 1841), and Hugh (1843).
Research Notes
It is not certain that Ellen's husband Cornelius McKeegan is the same Cornelius McKeegan (abt.1812-1896) who is the father of Hugh McKeegan (abt.1845-bef.1880). There were several Cornelius McKeegans in the area around Layd, County Antrim, and I did not find a birth record for Hugh; however, she seems like the most likely mother.
