Alexander was born 25 May 1789 and christened on 31 May 1789 at Dunbar. (The county, Haddingtonshire, was later renamed East Lothian.)
Alexander Redpath married Beatrice Runciman on 26 September 1811. Spelling was variable - Beatrice was sometimes spelled Beatrix; Redpath could be written Ridpath - they describe the same person. Redpath, Ridpeth, Reidpath, Readpath, are all found. Alexander and Beatrice had at least two sons, James and Alexander, no other children currently known.
Alexander (the husband of Beatrice) passed away about 1848.
