Mr. W. F. Pleydell. a very old colonist, died at his residence, Stanhope-grove. Camberwell, at the age of 93. Born at Brighton (England), he came to Australia in tho early fifties, entering into business as a contractor and builder, He erected many fine buildings in Ballarat, including the railway station. Later on he entered the Department of Public Works, where he filled the position of inspector of public works for a number of years. He leaves a widow, three sons and three daughters. ^[3]
