Ezra Pike was born on 27 Mar 1761 at New Marlboro Massachusetts, [1] came from Hoosick, New York. He was among the first settlers of Grand Isle County, Vermont, clearing a farm on which he died at the age of about sixty eight [79]. He was a pensioner of the war of the Revolution and held many offices of trust in the town of Isle La Motte.
His father was an early settler of New Marlboro having removed in 1744 from Canterbury, Connecticut.
After returning home he married and took up residence in Alburgh, Vermont. A short period later he moved to Isle LaMotte, Vermont.
Ezra married (Polly) Mary Garlick on 18 Oct 1784 at Laneborough, Massachusetts. Mary was born 28 Feb 1768.
His marriage to Mary Garlick, produced 13 children: Ezra, Reuben, Jesse, Jarvis, Jerod, Henry, Sally, Term, Lucy, Emeline, Mercy, Polly, and Anna.
In 1790, Ezra Pike resided in Duanesburgh, Albany, New York.[2]

Ezra served in the Dutchess County, New York militia. He moved to Duanesburg, Albany County, New York, as did his father Jarvis Pike, and from that area joined the revolutionary army and served from 1778 to 1782.

Ezra Pike, born @1792, died 02 Oct 1874 at age 82 in Isle la Motte, Vermont. Upon his death, his parents, Polly & Ezra Pike, were named and his birthplace was recorded as Quinailes, N.Y.
