Mary Elizabeth Hughes Pike, daughter of John Pike and Sarah Hughes.[1] She was baptised on 13 Oct 1811 at St Philip, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. [2]

Captain Pike, formerly of the 73d Regiment, is one of the emigrants to this Colony by the Phenix. This Gentleman brings his lady and family.

She was 22 years old when she married James Arndell on 25 Jul 1833. [4][5] Her marriage was reported at The Australian Sydney, NSW Fri 9 Aug 1833 Page 3 Original Correspondence

MARRIED.— At Pickering, Hunter's River, on the 25th July, Mr. James Arndell of Woodland, to Miss Pike of Pickering.
Note Pickering is the property of her father Captain John Pike

AENDELL - April 2, at Dunmore, near Maitland. Mary Elizabeth, widow of the late James Arndell, Esq , of Woodlands, Hunter River, aged 53 years.

Her grave is at Merton Cemetery [7]
