Hi there Bill,

I'm a volunteer who helps answer questions about how WikiTree works, I'm available any time you have questions or concerns. Things work a little differently here at WikiTree than on other genealogy sites, so if you're ever unsure please don't hesitate to give me a shout •*¨*.¸.•*¨⭐️

Hi, Bill, please do not change data and disconnect profiles without collaborating with the manager and providing sources. This is especially important on Pre-1700 profiles, and even more so when they are managed by a project. Please reconnect Isaac Bookhout as the father of Johannes Bookhout until you can provide sources and work with the New Netherland Settlers Project by commenting on the profile they manage.

Thanks, Laura

Hi, Bill!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand Pre-1700 Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines on that page.

Hi Bill,

This is a courtesy email to share the After Adopting Orphans FAQ which explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the words "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Debi

Hi, Bill!

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level. Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
