DEATH NOTICE. PEARSE.—On December 28, at Ormesby, Bindaring-parade, Osborne, James, dearly-beloved husband of Jessie Alice Pearse, and loving father of Mamie, Hallie, George, Nellie, Daisy, Sep., Ken., Doris, and Marjorie: aged 68 years.

OBITUARY. The death took place at his residence, Ormesby, Bindaring-parade, Osborne, on Monday evening of Mr. James Pearse (68). The deceased and his brothers, Messrs. George and W. S. Pearse founded the boot manufacturing business of Pearse Brothers, North Fremantle. The firm was founded nearly fifty years ago and till his retirement a short while ago from active participation in the operations of the company, the late Mr. Pearse managed the enterprise from its birth. The deceased was born in Fremantle and had resided in the district all his life. The youngest son of the late Mr. William Pearse, one of the pioneer colonists of this State, he was the last remaining of five sons. He had occupied many municipal offices both in Fremantle and North Fremantle for a considerable term filling the Mayoral chair of the last named municipality. The late Mr. Pearse leaves a widow and a grown-up family of three sons and six daughters.
