Do you have proof of Birth:

Date: 1780 Place: Edgecombe, Cumberland, North Carolina, USA[2] & Son of [father unknown] and Sarah Gilbert or is this just speculation?

I removed the mother shown, as her birth was 1779, which would make it impossible for her to be the mother. From the source on Parker-44225, the tombstone indicates a birth between 1780 and 1790, and it would appear that it is agreed that he was born in North Carolina. I would mark the birth year and place as uncertain during the merge.

Parker-44225 and Parker-2017 do not represent the same person because: When people quit adding ancestors to my family that have not been proven and provide documentation that they are my ancestors, I will consider approving merging my ancestors with others.

Currently, James was born after his mother died. The source for the DOB seems to be the gravestone which lists 1780 or 1790. I propose changing the date of birth to 1780.

When James A. Parker was born in 1785 in Magnolia, North Carolina, his father, Hardy, was 40 and his mother, Susana, was 22. He married Mary "Polly" Everton on May 18, 1805, in Surry, North Carolina. He died on September 10, 1846, in Screven, Georgia, at the age of 61, and was buried in Millen, Georgia

"The Georgians, Genealogies of pioneer Settlers"/Jeanette Austin pg 274, shows a William Paradise married a Hannah Parker. I believe this Wm. Paradise is the one who made deed in 1794, Duplin Co., and is Susan Paradise's brother or nephew, so if Hardy I and second wife Susan Paradise moved to Georgia it makes sense that her relative might also marry a Parker (and Hannah may possibly be a daughter of Hardy I and his first wife) and moved to Georgia.
Also in book "The Georgians, Genealogies of pioneer Settlers"/Jeanette Austin pg 272, she has listed a son named James who died in Screven Co, GA. This would be a son of Hardy Parker I, because looking at deeds below, there is a James Parker associated with Hardy Parker I, in New Hanover Co. , and James is too old to be a son of Hardy Parker II. And I believe James Leander Parker is the son of Hardy Parker II, and James leander Parker died in 1882 in Lufkin, Angelina Co, TX, one county away from Hardy Parker III.

James Parker Sr. was to have said to had 22 children. Don't know if they were all by Elizabeth Sasser or not. I believe that Elizabeth was his second wife. First wife was Polly Everton.
