Biography

Margaret Ellender Parker was born August 16, 1842 in Franklin, Alabama to Andrew Parker and Minervia Malinda Ellender Pierce. On July 8, 1858 Margaret married Zebediah Cleveland Payne. They produced eleven children: Mary S, Frances Melinda, James C, Florence Anthem, Joanna A, Virginia A, Martha Ellen, Ophelia M, Lenora Jane, Viola Beatrice and William Harrison. Margaret passed away January 16, 1908 in Dayton Township, Sebastian County, Arkansas. She is buried in Dayton Cemetery.
