William Page - Son of Charles and Mary Page.
William is thought to have arrived on the ship the 'Bolton' in Nelson on 15 March 1842 and was one of the hardy settlers who went to live in Takaka in 1853.
On 13 November 1851 Elizabeth Ann Winter and William Page were married. [1]

William went into partnership with his son William and W.J. Cobb, saw milling and they purchased a schooner to transport their timber to Lyttleton.
He was a member of the road board for about 26 years and the Lower Takaka School Committee.
His other interests included athletics and cricket umpiring and horse racing.
He was a long sufferer of asthma.
On 4 April 1898 William Page passed away, aged 67. [3]
He is buried in Block N, Plot 7 of the East Takaka Cemetery [4]
William was born about 1830. He is the son of James Winter and Mary Palmer.
