Biography

Thomas Overton, son of John and Joan (Unknown) Overton of Swineshead, Lincolnshire, England, was one of the county gentry appointed to collect a tax in 1434. ^[1]

Thomas must have been born before 1413 to be an adult (collecting taxes) in 1434. ^[1] An estimate of 1402 is reasonable, as his parents were known to be married by 1398. ^[1]

Thomas married Cicely Temer, who died between 1458 and 1460, probably after her husband Thomas. ^[1]
