Janet Orr was born on the last day of 1831 at Lauder, Berwickshire, and baptized on 4 January 1832. She was the daughter of Thomas Orr and Margaret Henderson.
Janet was shown with her parents in the 1841 UK census at Lauder. After that date there were many people with the same name, so identification becomes difficult.
