Jim was born in 1907 to Horace Falkner Norris Sr and Mamie Cornelia Montgomery. He had at least 2 siblings: William Alfred and Horace Falkner Jr; and 3 half-siblings: Carlos Adkins, Marion Alonza, and John Neal.
