Biography

Susan Nelson was born on the 3rd of October 1780 in Yorktown, York County, Virginia, the 8th child of Governor Thomas Nelson and Lucy Grymes.

In 1806, in Yorktown, she married Francis Page, a son of Governor John Page. They settled in Hanover, Virginia and had 7 children.

Francis died on 4 Nov 1849 in Hanover County. After which she went to live in Frederick, Maryland where she died on 8 Jan 1850. She is buried in the Fork Episcopal Church Cemetery, in Hanover, Virginia with her husband.
