John Murray was born in Lancashire, England.

John Murray was born in 1848 [1] in Manchester, Lancashire, England, the son of John Murray and Elizabeth Roberts. [2]

He was baptised as John Henry Murray on 24 September 1848 in Saint Andrew's church, Ancoats, Manchester. [3]

In 1851 John (age 2) was living in Pemberton, Lancashire with his mother, two siblings and his grandmother. His father was a carpenter and joiner. [2]

In 1861 John (age 12) was living in Ardwick, Manchester with his parents, 5 siblings, his grandmother and uncle.[4]

When John was 21 he married Ann Joinson on 16 January 1870 in St. George's Church, Manchester. [5] The couple had at least 3 children.

In 1871 John (age 22) was living in Manchester with his wife and son.[6]

John died at the age of 30 in 1879 in Chorlton, Lancashire.[7]
