Biography
Linton Russell Murdoch was born in 1914 in Elsternwick, Victoria, Australia. He was the third and youngest son of Thomas Murdoch and Kathleen Tiernan. [1] Linton's older brothers were Major General Ian Murdoch and Air Marshal Sir Alister Murdoch. He was educated at Caulfield Grammar School.
Linton married Joyce Collins on 5th April 1945 in Queensland. [2]
Military Service Number: VX1872, Unit: ARMY;SERVICE CORPS
He passed away in 1980 on the Gold Coast, Queensland and his ashes were interred in Allambe Memorial Park, Nerang. [3] His widow's remains were later interred beside him.
