Marriage
In 1826 Anne Mowat married George Tait in Watten, Caithness, Scotland. They had five sons and four daughters.

George and Anne Tait were living in Flex, Caithness, at the time of the baptism of their son, James.[3]
Anne is named as the mother of Isobel Tait who was baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 14 April 1833.[4]
In 1841 Anne was living in Milltown, in the parish of Wick, Caithness, with her husband and children.[5]
Emigration
The family emigrated to Victoria, Australia on board the ship, "Priam" which arrived there in August 1852. Their two youngest sons, John and Alexander emigrated from Australia to New Zealand in about 1864.
Death
Anne (Mowatt) Tait, age 70, died in Merino, Victoria, Australia in 1873.
