WILLIAM MORGAN

William Morgan was born in 1744 near Trappe Church, in Harford County, and was the son of Edward Morgan, who had come to that section three years previously. Part of the house in which William was born is still standing.

He married Cassandra Lee, a Quakeress, daughter of James Lee, was the father of nine chidlren,

Elizabeth, who married Thos. S. Chew

Sarah, who married Joseph Hopkins

Cassandra, wife of Zaccheus O. Bond

Edward Morgan

Elliner, who married John Hopkins

James L. Morgan

Mary, the wife of Ephraim Hopkins

Martha, who remained single

Margaret, also unmarried

William Morgan owned large tracts of land near Deer Creek, among his lands being "Simmons Choice", Simmon's Neglect", "Freeland's Mount", "Planters' Paradise", part of "Arabia Petrre", "Miller's Attempt". He died in November, 1795, at the age of fifty-one years.

His siblings were Martha (m. William Prigg), Samuel, Elizabeth (m. ? Lyon), Edward, Mary, Sarah (m. ? Wiles), James and Abraham. His grandparents were ? Morgan and Abraham and Martha Simmons. He married Cassandra Lee. Their children were Elizabeth (m. Thomas Sheredine Bond), Sarah (m. Joseph Hopkins), Edward, Ellinor (m. John Hopkins), James Lee (m. Susanna Wheeler), Mary (m. Ephraim Hopkins), Cassandra ( m. Zacheus Onion Bond), Martha and Margaret.
