Notes

According to Mary Ann Morgan Albans her grandfather John D. Morgan recalled a story that when he was a young boy his father was visited by two of his brothers who had served in the War of 1812 in America. After the war they decided to return to the United States permanently, settling in some area of the US South.

In his final years son David produced a travel narrative in 1900 that described family life in Wales and his travels to Ohio. In it he describes when his mother died, her maiden name, who his father remarried. It is currently in the possession of the Madog Center for Welsh Studies[3]
