Since the establishment of our independence, to which he contributed his might, he has taught school 12 years;has ever sustained the character of an upright and worthy citizen, a kind husband, tender parent and indulgent master. Mr. Morgan was what the poet calls"the noblest work of God, an honest man. " He also possessed a strong mind and benevolent heart, the value of which could only be duly estimated by his familiar friends. He never was known to deny a neighbor a favor, when in his power to grant it; and has left a large circle of relations and acquaintances to lament the loss of the best of friends.]
