Biography

John was born in 1769. He was the son of John Moir and Elizabeth McQueen. He passed away in 1804.

John Moir MOIR, JOHN, OF HiLLFOOT. date of admission date of admission to the Society of Writers to the signet 17th March 1797. Apprentice to, and son of, John Moir, W.S.—Born 1769. Died through bursting a blood-vessel, 22d December 1804. Married Mary Bell Gray. [1]
