If you look at this tree, please know it is a work in process. I am transferring everyone in from ancestry.com. I have the siblings in many cases, but that will be the next stage after I get in my direct lines.

Amy, as a descendant of Robert Etheridge, https://services.dar.org/public/dar_research/search_adb/?action=full&p_id=A099490, you are eligible to join any chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution that you desire. If you have not already explored the DAR website about the many benefits of DAR membership, please visit: http://www.dar.org/national-society/become-member for more information about who we are and what we do.

In case you think that this might be a cumbersome process and that you would have to provide tons of documentation, it is often easier than you might think. I have been able to assist other women who wanted to join and they only had to go back a few generations to show that they were descendants of an ancestor, who was already proved by another descendant. Check out the website and fill in the electronic form. The National DAR will send your information to DAR chapters in your area and you may select whichever one you would like. The meetings resume again in September. Let me know if I can help. jan

Hey Amy,

Thanks for the link to Lunsfords book. I will be traveling over the next little while but will look at it the first chance I get. Thanks!

HI. I've been very sick (Cancer), so I apologize. I am usually on Ancestry, so I am still learning how to do things on here. Thank you for any help.

Hi Amy,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Amy,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message about your genealogical interests. A Greeters Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
