ST. MARY’S Church of England, Woodend, was the setting for the marriage of Miss Margery Joan Cooley to Dr. John Millar, which was celebrated last evening by the Rev. C. R. Miles. The bride, who is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Cooley, Te Whare, Woodend, was given away by her father. She wore a frock of . . . .

The bridegroom, who is the eldest son of the late Mr. A. T. Millar and of Mrs. Millar, of Ripponlea, had Mr. Max Andrewartha as best man, and Mr. Russell Clark and Dr. James Smibert as groomsmen. Messrs. Alan Cooley and Harley Grover were ushers.
After the ceremony a reception and dance were held at Te Whare, where a marquee erected in the garden, was the setting.
