Witnesses were Rose Bailey and John Millar, and Rev. Andrew Roddau officiated. At the time of their wedding, May and James were living at 1027 Georgia Street East. This Census also recorded that the family did not have a radio. Wife May's brother Edward and sister Elizabeth, and their families, were also living in the same apartment building.

James Millar died on 3 July, 1970 at Vancouver, British Columbia, of Prostate Cancer, and was interred in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia[3]
