On 2 April 1871 W Reding, Yorkshire born Henry Meller (37) Tweed Finisher, Lelkirk, Roxburghshire born wife Mary Meller (35) with children Francis G Meller (12), Hawick born Elizabeth Meller (7) and Henry A Meller (1) lived in Lower Crofts, Alva, Stirlingshire, Scotland. [1]
James Hunter, Wool Carder from James Street, Alva aged 26, married Elizabeth Mellor, Power Loom Weaver aged 26 from Lower Brook Street, Alva on 7 March 1890 at The Manse, Parish of Alva, Stirlingshire, Scotland after Banns. Parents William Hunter and Ruth Adamson and Henry Mellor (Tweed Finisher) and Mary McVittie. [2]
On 31 March 1901 James Hunter (37) Wool Carder, wife Lizzie Hunter (37) with children Mary Hunter (7), William Hunter (5) all Free Church and Scotish born with boarders John Lawlar (32), James Corcoran (19) and Albert Bardaeam (20) lived in Crumlin, Camlin, Antrim, Ireland. [3]
She passed away in 1920, married aged 57. William Hunter present at her death. [4]
