Folks, I am still struggling to learn the ins and outs of WikiTree. The one tree concept is great but WikiTree is definitely not user friendly like Ancestry. I try to learn a little each day before giving up in frustration. I have a huge family tree at Ancestry but it won't transfer over in a GEDCOM file. But I will figure it out.

Hi Thomas, You are now a member of the WikiTree Community - We are building One Collaborative Tree, with just one profile per person, so it is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree.

Hello fellow genealogists. My name is Tommy McRae and I was born in Hamlet, NC but I live in neighboring Rockingham, NC. These towns are located in Richmond County, NC, which is just north of the SC state line, midway between Charlotte and Wilmington NC. I have always been interested in my family genealogy but I've never had time to mess with it. Now that I've retired from my job at United Parcel Service, I have time to research and dig. I will be honest, I am finding WikiTree difficult to navigate and even the HELP sections are a little vague. I am taking my time and trying to learn a little about this site each day. I have a huge family tree at Ancestry but it won't transfer in a GEDCOM file because of the size. Anyway, please bear with me if I don't respond or make mistakes.
I have being doing research on the Oliver side of my family and would love to share comments and info with you. I can be reached at [email address removed] I have been to the grave sites of some of the Oliver members in Elbert County, Georgia.
