Biography
Malcolm John McLaren was born on 26 June 1886 in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, son of Peter McLaren and Sophia (Wotherspoon) McLaren.[1]
- In the 1891 census Malcolm (age 4), Scholar, was the son of Perter McLaren in Allanvale, Logie, Perthshire.[2]
- In the 1901 census Malcolm (age 14), Chemist's Apprentice, was the son of Sophia Maclaren at 6 Allanvale, Logie, Stirlingshire.[3]
He married Janet Young Peffers on 2 June 1915 at Barmore, Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire. He was a chemist living at Kirklandhill Cottage, Glengarnoch.[4] They had a daughter Sophia Nelson Witherspoon McLaren.
He died on 16 October 1934 at Western Infirmary Glasgow, age 48 years. He was a pharmacutical chemist and his usual residence was Garnoch Grove, Glengarnock.[5]
