Biography
The McKeown's were probably from Fedney, in the Parish of Garvaghy, Co Down as son Samuel called his house Fedney. He was a farmer according to his son Thomas's marriage Certificate.
Research Note
- according to descendant David McEwan, William and his wife Mary emigrated to Canada. This was at the time of the Potato Famine. They took a son John. The 4 other sons Samuel, Thomas, William and David emigrated to Norwich in England in about 1858[1]
