Edwin was born about 1836. He was the son of ARchibald McKellar and Nancy Craig. He passed away after 1864.

His birth year shows on a military record. He appears in the 1850 and 1860 living with his father. He served in Co. G 4th infantry for Alabama in Confederacy There are no records after 1864. I do not know if he moved on after the war or if he was killed during the war.
