Cynthia Mary McGlaughlin was born on February 8, 1838, in Meigs, Ohio to Elihu McGlaughlin andhis wife, Lucinda Wines. She married Benjamin Hewitt Dunlap on November 18, 1860. They had five children in 14 years. She died on March 3, 1915, having lived a long life of 77 years, and was buried in Ross, Ohio.
