Biography

Martin was born in 1874. [1] He is the son of Martin McFetridge and Leonora Anderson. He emigrated to New Zealand and married Elizabeth Napper Bowman there in 1916 [2] He passed away in 1963 age 87 [3] Note: Age at death does not tie up with year of birth. but his headstone confirms his age as 88

He is buried at Huirangi cemetery in New Plymouth [4]

Maddy Hardman
McFetridge-100 and McFetridge-21 appear to represent the same person because: Martin has a brother Robert Hugh who also emigrated to New Zealand. His daughter Ellen Anderson McFetridge is named after his mother, who called herself a variety of first names all based around Leonora, ranging from Lena, Lenna, Helen, Alena, etc.
