Biography

John McEwan, son of Alexander McEwan and Margaret Allan was born on7 July 1811 and baptised on 21 July 1811 in the parish of Stirling, Stirlingshire.^[1]

When John was 34 he married Janet Cock on 6 March 1846 in Alloa, Clackmannanshire.^[2]

In 1851 John (age about 39) was employed in Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland. Baker. Note: Han er registrert som baker i Alloa under folketellingen i 1851.^[3]

In 1881 John (age about 69) was living in Baker street, Alloa, Clackmannan, Skotland. under ft.^[4]
