WOMAN FOUND FATALLY SHOT. YOUNG, Wednesday.
A young married woman named Alice Jean Jones, 22, was found beside a tree on a stock reserve at Bribbaree with two bullet wounds in her forehead. She died five hours later. She had been camped on the reserve with her husband, who is a signwriter. Shots having been heard, Constable Curran investigated, and found the woman unconscious near a tree about thirty yards from the tent in which were her husband and three children, the eldest four years and the youngest 18
months. A .26 calibre revolver was found beside her. Under doctor's instructions, she was moved to the Bush Nurse headquarters, where she died. The woman was a native of the Howlong district, and her parents reside at Albury.
