Biography
Theobald was born on October 19, 1886 and baptized on December 8.[1] He was the son of Duncan McDonell and Rosanna Finlay. His family lived in Wileville, just outside of the town of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He married Amy Rodenhiser on July 7, 1909.[2] From his obituary " An engineer (in steam) by trade, Mr. MacDonnell worked in the U.S.A. for some years". That would seem to have been at some point between 1911 and 1921. They lived in Wileville but by 1931 had moved to Falkland Ridge, Annapolis County.[3] He passed away on November 29, 1960[4][5] and is buried in the Baptist Church Graveyard in Falkland Ridge NS.[6]
