Alfred McDonald was born in Warooka, South Australia in May 1889. He was the son of Neil McDonald and Fanny Meddiford.
Mick served in the 3rd Light Horse Regiment in the Australian Imperial Force. He died of wounds in Port Said, Egypt on 3 June 1916, and was buried in Port Said War Memorial Cemetery.[1]
