Biography
Stephen was born on 31 Dec 1859 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He passed away in Mansfield, Arkansas on 23 Jul 1943 and was buried in the Coop Prairie Cemetery, Mansfield, Arkansas.[1]
23 Mar 1887: S C McDonald and Miss Roxie Self (20) were married in Scott County, Arkansas. The record shows that S C was 27 and a resident of Tomlinson, Arkansas.[2][3]
1900 Census: Stepen C McDonald and his wife Roxey McDonald (33) are living in Diamond Township of Sebastian County, Arkansas where Stepen is employed as a fireman for a coal mine. The record notes that Stepen was 40, born in Arkansas during May of 1860, and that he had been married to Roxey for 13 years. The couple have 3 children in their home: Earnest L (12), Vestibula (8), and Claudey B (5).[4]
