McCune-433 and McCoun-49 appear to represent the same person because: They share the same birth year and death year and the same mother. I am suggesting McCoun-49 as the final profile because of the connection to the fathers line.

I'm doing research for a friend. Just found that one of his ancestors, Mary Campbell, 1674-1718, married a James McCune,1660-1735. She was born in Ireland, died Massachusetts. Her daughter, Rachel, was born in Augusta Co., Virginia in 1688. I was looking to see if there is a tie to my Margaret McCune, b. PA, married William Caldwell in early 1700s. Noland 588.

Hi,

I'm not the profile manager of this file. There seems to be a lot of confusion. The Family Search file on this person is all over the place (it's LB8Z-LWP if you care to jump down that rabbit hole). This person also looks to be the same as McCoun-49 (see Pending Merges below). McCoun-49 lists him as having two children named Alexander with insufficient sources. The struggle continues. I have a DNA match with an individual related to this person. It would be great to clean up this (these) file(s). Thanks for your work. Paul
