Biography
An 1896 deed shows Charlottie having the middle initial as ‘H’. It appears multiple times as C H Brown with her husband P R Brown. A recent strong DNA match has connected our family with a McCain who’s descendant from a Robert McCain born in Hickman, Kentucky in 1824. This possibly is a brother or cousin to Charlottie McCain Brown. Charlottie was married in Stewart County, Tennessee in 1844. A document was found from Stewart, Tennessee that showed a Robert McCain in Stewart County, Tennessee in 1837 as a worker. More research is needed to confirm this assertion.
Census records for Charlottie show her being born consistently in Tennessee. Not sure of exact location but one can assume in or around Stewart County, Tennessee. More research is needed on this topic.
